I previously posted a few quotes from from Light And Truth when I was about halfway through this outstanding biblical commentary (you can read them here). Below are some additional quotes from this Horatius Bonar book.

I love reading the “old guys.” I mean the ones who have stood the test of time, and their lives have backed up their writing. Recently I just finished going through the Gospels in my personal Bible reading time, and I did so with the help of Horatius Bonar, a very notable old guy.
