Slavery is illegal in every single country of the world, and yet slavery still exists in 167 nations today! One-in-five of those in slavery is under the age of 18, and 55 percent of those trapped in slavery are women.

One of the biggest industries fueling human trafficking and human slavery is the pornography industry. Every time you click on a porn link, you are helping to keep someone in bondage. Those clicks mean money in the pockets of those who peddle in human flesh, so they do whatever they can to keep you clicking and viewing.
Think about this—Your porn viewing is keeping someone’s daughter or son in slavery!

Pornography has fueled the sex trafficking market. In The Porn Circuit, Sam Black reports that “between 14,500 and 17,500 sex slaves are trafficked into the US each year. Another 300,000 American children are at risk for trafficking each year.”

I am so privileged to work as the director of the EnGedi Youth Center. EnGedi is a Christ-centered after-school program in the Cedar Springs schools.
Each afternoon we provide the students with a healthy snack, and opportunity to get some tutoring or some homework help, and then lots of classes and sports opportunities. The relationships I’ve made this school year with both the students and their parents have been so rewarding!

This really weighs heavily on me…
Our guest this morning began to lay down 3×5 cards with the names of students on them. These students haven’t heard about Jesus yet. Let this weigh on your heart—
There are 150 million unreached students in his area of the world.
If all their names were laid end-to-end on 3×5 cards, the line would stretch 11,500 miles.
If you were flying over these cards in a 747, it would take you 20 hours to cover them all.
Stacked together these cards/names would weigh 190 tons.
If you prayed just 1 second for each name, you would be praying for 4.5 years.
We all need to be praying, giving, or going. Or maybe all three.
