This morning I went out to breakfast with my youngest son, Brandon. I try to spend some time one-on-one with each of my kids, just hanging out. It is so insghtful what comes up in conversation when it’s just the two of us. One of my life verses is “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth” (3 John 4). I don’t care how much success comes in public arenas, I truly want all of my children to have an intimate, meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ. These one-on-one times give me an opportunity to make the right investments into the lives of my kids.
